not happy with Dell

by coffeeman / December 12, 2006 10:11 PM PST

I bought a dell computer a few months ago so far computer is okay.
But I'm not happy with their so called free printer. It turns out that
you can only buy ink from them, at a cost of more than a new printer. Dell's service is also not what it once was, I have been waiting for a reply from them on some issues with my old computer for months. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem? Not likely to buy from Dell again. Thanks for leetting me vent Coffeeman

I wonder if you remember that old marketing idea. While you can complain about it why did you accept the free printer?

As to computer support, Windows ME is dead and gone. By now you got it fixed, live with or moved on. Some shoot the old beast.

-> But I must mention one thing that many expected. Free support. If you're not paying no one's talking.

Hi Bob

I guess my post wasn't clear. I have been waiting for a reply from Dell for parts to upgrade my computer. I have also paid for 5 years of Tec support from Dell. And also for anyone who has a Dell with Windows ME you lifetime Tec support on your system. Altough that as you say Win ME is almost dead. The purpose of my post was to let people know so think twice about buying a Dell. In reading other forums I'm not alone in my fustrations with Dell. Anyways keep up the good work Bob. Have Merry Christmas Coffeeman

All the makers are guilty as charged.

Who will you pick next time?

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
