1/ Most important get the latest drivers and software from HP web site (printer seem to have issues with SP2)
2/ Make sure you followed the installation procedure as per HP
3/ Delete that temp dir :-
C:\DOCUME ~1\ADMINI ~1\LOCALS ~1\Temp\WER47e6.dir00
4/ Make sure nothing is loading in the startup folder of msconfig
5/ Run a reg clean program
Let me know how you go

I have a HP8450 photosmart printer that I can?t install. I am able to install the software, but not the USB connector. When I plug in the USB connector the computer says it found new hardware, and two seconds later a window pops up saying it can?t install the USB because of an error. I turned off my firewall and virus programs and have nothing else running in the background. Here are the two errors it gave me. I have no idea what they mean. Hoping someone can help me.
