Not able to Download Kryptos 2 Professional

Apr 2, 2011 7:53AM PDT

I am running Win7 with IE8. I am not able to download the Kryptos 2 Professional software for the free 30 day trial. When I try to download, the click just keeps on taking me in a loop back to the same page. I have downloaded from CNET.com many times in the past and have NEVER had any problems. Any suggestions?

Kryptos 2 Professional?

I couldn't see Kryptos 2 Professional listed in Download.com. Can you provide a URL for it please?

For your information some users are experiencing problems with Download.com at the moment. There is an ongoing discussion on that here;

See if there is anything there that help you.

Download Kruptos 2 Professional

Thank you so much for the response. I cleared the cache and temp as suggested, but no help. Then, after reading through some of the other comments/issues, I moved from IE8 to Firefox V4 and everything worked as advertised!

BTW, I misstyped and called it Kryotos instead of Kruptos. The page is http://download.cnet/kruptos-2-Professional/3000-2092_4-10446164.html

If you're still having the issue in IE8...
Apr 3, 2011 3:26AM PDT

Could you do me a favor? I am trying to determine why some people cannot download from download.com and it would help if you could click here (just click; do not open in a new tab or anything) using IE8 and copy the displayed HTTP_ACCEPT, HTTP_USER_AGENT, and HTTP_REFERER values into a reply here. (If any of those aren't listed, let me know.) The problem has been going on for around 2 months but no cause/fix has been found yet, so I am hoping we can help them track this down. Users shouldn't have these problems and be forced to switch browsers to successfully download a file.

Thanks!
John
