Apparently, it isn't a totally uncommon problem with McAfee. One of our moderators (Grif Thomas) has replied to quite a few "bo:heap" queries, at the McAfee Support Forum. He also volunteers his time as a moderator here. Not knowing which suggestions in his posts, might apply to your specific product, I hesitate posting any of those suggestions here.

You have the option of waiting a bit to see if Grif see's your post. (I believe he will) You can also post and ask at the McAfee Forum. Personally, I would strongly suggest, in lieu of posting there, you wait and see if Grif see's your post. I think he would be the one to give you the best (and more personalized) advice.

From what I've read, it's possible it may not be a virus. To make sure you are otherwise clean, it will help him, help you, if you ran the below scan first:

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, or an alternative site:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

If over time, Grif doesn't see your post, post at the specific forum, related to your McAfee product.

Most commonly, the error you're seeing can be related to malware that McAfee has missed. Run the tool she suggested and delete everything it finds..

If nothing is found, then it is possible the McAfee program is seeing a plugin on Internet Explorer as a problem.. I also use another excellent free tool to scan for trojans.. See the link below to download, install, update, then run a full system scan:

SUPERAntispyware Removal Tool

As to your McAfee version, I don't think you have the number correct.. It appears like you've listed the McAfee "Agent" number for your corporate system.. Generally, you should be able to determine the version number of VirusScan by RIGHT clicking on the McAfee icon in the lower right corner, then choose "About VirusScan".. I'm just guessing, but because of your "hotfixes version-6" statement, you may have the corporate ViruScan Enterprise 8.5i.. Let us know that version if the above steps don't fix the issue.

Hope this helps.
