Norwegain WWII war effort

I stumbled across this WWII war fact.

It seems that the Nazi war machine confiscated the fish supply of Norwegians that of course they loved. The mere fact of taking food that would normally be part of the Norwegian diet. Norwegian resistance pounced on a plan to sabotage the fish supply being sent to Germany. Much of this fish now canned, had oil laced with medicine to cause diarrhea gotten from British SOE. Add further much of this canned fish(sardines) was then given to the German Navy, mostly it's U-boat submariners. You can guess what was already a bad plight of submariners being worsen and that the food supply is generally very keen for submariners. Well...I'll got leave it at that, must "trot" off to work. -----Willy Happy

How appropriate

eating sardines from a can while packed like sardines in a can

I don't think I'd want my submarine buddies

loading up on sardines whether laced or not. Ever give those things to a cat? Be careful when it walks away from you with its tail lifted. Happy

Now I'm singing Yellow Submarine!

You shouldn't have gotten involved with this one then

I hate it when a song gets in my head and won't go away. I hate it worse when I've forgotten the title. No sleep until mystery solved.

Google is your friend.

The times I've been in the pub and someone asked the title of a song and giving one line of it. Straight home to the PC! Maddening!

Damn, now I'm singing Norwegian Wood!

Might not be appropriate in a sub. NSFW!

Every time, I do that

I'm someone that just can't name the name but offer clues to what i hope narrows it down. All the time, i do this my grey matter just can't pierce it all together. However, I point peculiar facts now and then and can't remember where I got them from other than yeah, I did read, see or saw in on TV or WWW source. Like, how many seasons was Gilligan's Island on TV? dang... -----Willy Happy
