since the crash is with a specific program you just bought, you have to contact then vendor (Symantec) to troubleshoot this problem. your system may be incompatible or there may be a bug.
After installing Norton SystemWorks 2004 Pro I did not find Norton CleanSweep option(s) on explorer's right click menu for any shortcut or program.Also CleanSweep
continue to crash if Fast Analysis is turned off.These problems occure on both Win98Se and WinXp Pro(Sp1 installed).Even repeted uninstalling and reinstalling did not help,but there was no error during install.I did not face these problems when I was using NSW2003 Pro.
Common configuration for both Win98Se and WinXp Pro:
DirectX 9b,IE6,Nvidia ForceWare 56.64.
