I purchased, upgraded to NSW 2005 with Internet Security. I'm running on an old P3 850MHz with 512 Ram,operating system Win XP home edition. Video card
is Nvidia's Riva TNT2 pro 64. After install of NSW I would try and start the program and the main screen comes up and during the quick refreshing process my monitor goes blank and my computer reboots. I could go thru the Start Programs menu and select an individual Norton utility function and run it from that section but no luck thru the NSW menu screen. I went to my Desktop properties menu in XP and went to the settings function for the monitor. Going to the Advanced function and Troubleshoot tab I could use the monitor acceleration feature in windows and turned all DirectX,3D,etc. acceleration features off and rebooted the machine in this mode. Double click the Norton icon and NSW comes on and functions correctly but extremely slowly. Is this my computer hardware or Norton causing the hangup? Does Symantic have a phone support area that can help? The web support has nothing immediately available to use thats useful. Or at least I can't find an answer. Idea's and direction would greatly be appreciated
