My standard operating proceedure:
1: If Norton NAV or systemworks is installed, REMOVE it.
This fixes many problems. Don't put it back on.
Antivirus: Use AVG free or paid whichever you prefer.
Don't use McAfee either.
Just my opinion, but I have fixed a lot of screwed up systems
by removing NAV.

I was previously running Win 98 and SystemWorks 2003 with no problems. I upgraded recently to Win XP Home and all hell broke loose!! (According to the Norton website SystemWorks is compatible w/ XP)
After the upgrade, all components of SystemWorks were active with the exception of NAV. I have uninstalled and reinstalled as per Nortons' instructions but NAV still does not load.
At the same time I noted that some selection buttons on a few websites do not work. (When you put your mouse over them, nothing happens)
To get these website buttons to work I had to uninstall Norton completely and re-install XP.
Has anyone run into a similar problem?
Any suggested fixes
