Hi. I am having problems with Norton Live Update. It searches for updates but comes back with message ' No Internet connection' Yes I am connected to the Internet at the time. Explorer works. I am running windows XP Pro with SP2 Update. Thought it was the firewall so shut it down. Same problem.

Any advice much appreciated. Regards Andy

I have the same problem on one of my systems. I read that one of the worms (a Bagel derivitive I think) can disable the live update capability. Look in the Norton/McAfee/Saphos websites for more info. Mine is still a problem but offline for now.
Hope this helps.

Hi, You could try this. If you connecting through an office/home network which has other computers on it then probably only the computer which has a direct internet connection will do the updates others maynot. Put this computer on direct internet connection modem/cable/others and try taking updates.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
