Question

Norton Ghost 10.5 - need immediate help

Aug 24, 2011 10:03AM PDT

How can I download an older version of the Norton software. I need 10.5 and nothing newer. And I needed it 3 hrs ago. Anyone have an idea? When I Google it, I see plenty of people advertising it but when you click thru, it takes me to Norton site and of course, they are only selling their newest (and buggiest) version.

I hope someone can direct me immediately. Thanks in advance!

(and I'm not really sure if I'm in the right area - maybe this should be under the virus section, since it's about Norton? )

Amazon.com has a few disks of 10.0, used or new. But mostly they sell version 15.

When this happens.

You try Amazon and of course Symantec.com to get phone numbers to call in and ask how to get it done.

Thanks, but....I tried that first

Symantec simply wasted an hour of my time, tossing me from one person (in one country) to another person (in another country) and back and forth only to say they can't do it. AND I'd BEGGED them to not waste my time if they can't do it. :::sigh:::

Then more time for ebay, amazon, etc.

Seems odd that only version x.y would be required. But it's why I avoid proprietary software for backups.
