Hi,
Try to select "Automatically configure internet access" for MSN Messenger then try to log-in again.
You are seeing that log because there is a default firewall rule called "Block access to secure sites" (you can see it in the Advanced tab>General Firewall rules)
Today I tried logging onto MSN Messenger and the logon failed. Reason MSN gave was that my gateway was 'offline'. I checked my firewall logs and saw this:
Rule "Block access to secure sites" blocked (loginnet.passport.com(65.54.183.192),https(443)).
Outbound TCP connection.
Local address,service is (0.0.0.0,1144).
Remote address,service is (loginnet.passport.com(65.54.183.192),https(443)).
Process name is "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.Exe".
This has never occurred in the past, so why would it be occurring now? How can I remedy this without putting my PC at risk?
