If you can't open the ports 25 and 110, then it won't work. Also, there are reports that some ISPs require you to read mail before sending. Some ISPs make this change without notice.
My Norton firewall won't let my Outlook Express account connect to the server. Although I already know about this problem existing with the firewall, I've never been affected by it before. I've formatted my computer many times and installed the firewall many times too. I've always used the Norton default settings and they worked perfectly, but not now. Any ideas about why this problem is occuring now, after all these years. What Norton firewall settings do you think I can get away with using that are both functional and still safe. Hope somebody can enlighten me, I've tried to find out from Norton, but it was fast turning into an all day affair and I became too frustrated. Thanks all.
