I downloaded and paid for norton firewall. When it is enabled, I can not go on line. I have spent 3 days trying to talk to someone. How can I reach a live person??? JIM

Firewalls erect barriers that can indeed thwart going online. This is how it works.

One hopes the default settings are TAME enough to not cause any issue, but sometimes people immediately change it to MAXIMUM PROTECTION and nothing works. A short time to think about it and you move it back a few notches.

In closing, in today's low priced world, you get "phone-boy" or automated service unless you want to pay for support. Support is not in the purchase price for most products.

And why not just use Zone Alarm. They've been at this longer and the price is right.

Not sure if it is still a good number, (haven't used Norton in two years), but after a few minutes there was a human being on the line (a very helpful and patient one, at that!)
