Norton Confidential versus Safari

Aug 3, 2011 5:53AM PDT

In the last week or so my autofill by Safari is interfered with by a balloon by Norton but it does not work and only gets in the way. Safari preferences are correct and I don't have an "identity safe" option in Norton that I can see. Is this a new Norton bug or what?

Time to ask Symantec what's up.

But what good is this on Mac OSX?

Norton

Norton software has long had a reputation of being a bad piece of software on the Mac. Both by being unhelpful, and of interfering with normal operations to the point of causing crashes.

At this point, you have more to fear from Norton than you do from most malware.
