I'm not sure what you mean by "Still" have to pay a monthly fee. To my knowledge neither Norton's nor any other non-corporate anti-virus software is leased on a monthly fee.

I just got a new computer (Dell) a couple or few months ago, and the free subscription on my Norton AntiVirus is up. It says I can renew it for 52.77 canadian (One year), or I can buy it for 49.99 american.
I tried looking on the Norton site, but I couldn't find the information. I was just wondering if you actually buy the software for Norton, do you still have to pay a monthly fee? Because, it seems strange that I would have to may 50 dollars every year for my Norton, when I could just buy it for 65ish and never have to pay monthly.
