Norton AntiVirus 2004 Question

Hi,

Just got my computer back from the shop after having it reformatted.

Now when I receive email attachments, I get a message at the top of the Outlook Express window saying "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail:......". Is this Norton Antivirus 2004 or something to do with Outlook Express?

I have had this happen in the past and was told how to stop it but I have now forgotten!! Can someone let me know how to solve this?

Many thanks.

Hi,

Just worked it out - solved it through the options section of Outlook Express.

Thanks, Annabel.

Annabel, Open Outlook Express/Tools/Options/Security tab. Uncheck "do not allow attachemnts to be opened or saved which could potentially be a virus", click Apply/OK. It is still good practice to have your AV program running in real time mode.
