Click Options (located at the top left hand of LiveUpdate window)
Select ISP tab
Choose Internet Options in Control Panel
Click Configure button below Internet Connection
Select your new broadband connection settings then click Set Default button. Click OK.
I recently got broadband. Today I did Norton's LiveUpdate but is trying to connect through the old dial-up modem and not via ethernet to router etc. The error message is:
"LU1481: Connection to ISP failed. Live Update could not connect to your ISP. Verify your dial-up information is correct"
When pressing the "help" button at this stage it says:
"If LiveUpdate has trouble connecting, it displays an error message.
Before you retry, make sure other Internet applications and network connections are working because the problem could be with your network. Check your LiveUpdate configuration settings before trying again.
If you use America Online, CompuServe, or Prodigy to connect to the Internet, you may need to specify that connection in your computer's Control Panel Internet Connection settings."
I've gone to Norton's settings and there is no way to change connection type. I have also gone to the control panel and was wondering if I should just delete the dial-up connection. And no I do not use America Online, CompuServe, or Prodigy.
