Norton Anti Virus Pro 04

Mar 14, 2004 7:48PM PST

About a month ago I downloaded a copy of NAV 04 and installed. I ran the program and everything was ok. The next time I went on my pc all my applications wouldnt work by double clicking.
I uninstalled NAV and tried again but still the same problem.
I now have to right click, run as, unclick protect my computer..and then they will run. I think I may have deleted some files which were put in quar when I run NAV the first time or even deleted the regestry as I cannot go back before I installed in system restore.
I have XP.

Simply put, damage varies from bug to bug.

Iiordath:
While I can't answer specifically what your problem is, I have never had good luck with norton antivirus products after Norton 2001. They have consistantly caused my Windows 2000 install to run slow and lock up to the point that I uninstalled the same product twice, and newer version once, and finally gave up on Norton Antivirus products. I was introduced to Panda Antivirus and tried them. It is easy to install, set up, works better than Norton or Macfee. I have never been caught by a virus on my machine. It also has a built-in firewall which works well. I have two computers at home and both are protected by Panda. A good product to consider. It has caused no problem with my windows 2000 or Windows XP.
