I recieved a laptop last xmas with Norton aready on & I like to use avast with vista. can anyone tell me (useless with registry's)how to get rid of it? (nothing too complicated please) Thanx for ur help

the Norton removal tool. Click on whichever version you have once you get to the website and follow the directions posted before you actually use the tool. I would also recommend setting a system restore point first which is something you should ALWAYS do when making changes to your computer.

Also consider trying out Revo uninstaller, which does a pretty good job of finding reg keys and files associated with a program you're about to uninstall.
