Question

Normalizing mp3 levels

May 1, 2016 8:05PM PDT

I have a number of mp3 files in a folder with differing volume levels to be burnt to a CD. Is there a free windows software that will scan the folder contents and automatically equalize the volume of each mp3. I do not want to adjust the volume within any one mp3.
Thanks for any help.
John.

Answer
When I make an AudioCD

CDBURNERXP does have that option for AudioCDs. https://cdburnerxp.se/help/kb/7

But your post has conflicting goals. You write you want to normalize the volume but not adjust the volume in any one MP3.

Either what you ask is not possible or I read this wrong.

Nero express 12 has that feature. However, this is for audio cd only but not dvd or bru-ray. Kinda strange.

Thanks for the replies with suggestions. I subsequently found MP3Gain from SourceForge which does just what I desire.
