THIS COMPANY IS A FARCE..THEY NEVER ANSWER EMAILS AND THERE IS NO PHONE NR...THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR RETURN POLICY. I AM A NON TECH SAVVY SENIOR WHO ORDERED A 32GB SD CARD TO UPDATE MY NOOK TABLET. WHAT I GOT WERE APPS FOR PHONES SO MOST OF THEM WON'T WORK. SOMETIMES IT JUST LOCKS UP AND I HAVE TO SHUT IT DOWN AND START OVER. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!! THE CARD WAS SHIPPED FROM 360 MOBILE SOLUTIONS, 2173 MALLARD LANE, HANOVER PARK, IL..60133-6103.. THEIR PH NR IS 630-664-1639...I LEFT A MSG BUT NO RESPONSE AS OF YET..NABEEL SHAUKAT AND MALIK SHAMSUDDIN WERE LISTED AS DIRECTORS OR CEOS... JUST TOOK MY MONEY AND LAUGHED...

Not too difficult if you follow steps from xda.

Those cards are for folk that don't what to do it themselves. And I encountered a few that didn't understand that the APPS are not a sure thing. For example, just for fun tried Camera apps and of course they don't work.

I hear you but when you root that thing, you find yourself out on a non-supportable limb.

I am old and not tech savvy but I can follow instructions.. It still locks up regardless of what I'm doing functionally. Last night it even rebooted while in use and when it reboots it goes to NOOK and not back to SD card. It did that 4 times in a 2 hr period. None of the GPS downloads work and none of the portable wifi downloads will work. It's just a big headache for me especially since they won't answer my emails, and I sent a lot of them. Even the place where it was mailed from has a phone but they don't answer the phone or return calls. Just not the way to run a business! If you go to their site you'll see they promise a 24 hr NO HASSLE return program for the first 60 days. Still waiting...Not a happy camper!!!

Try this.

Go find the instructions from XDA and be careful. These versions can change the clock rate up too high and I found one poor soul that though, heck it offers 1.4GHz so I'll use that.

I finally had to ignore them since they could not accept that it may crash on the higher speeds. They were the usual folk that thought "if it's an option on the control, then that tells me it should be fine."

It was not fine and they too were upset about apps that were being offered that didn't work.

-> You bring up a good point. That is, should the system be open to tinkering and possibly have things that don't work or should it be more like Microsoft's RT or Apple's tablets where the cover is welded on?

Thanks for the link to xda....I'm not tech savvy at all but I'll look it up and see if I can make sense of anything, but it still won't answer my real complaint of nrcards not responding to my emails.....

Sorry about that.

I read your post and understand your ire but thought that since I do own a Nook that I made the card myself, I could chat about some of the issue and share a bit about what a mess it is.

While I enjoy the Android things, it's not as tidy and clean as say those other systems out there but being open to change is a good thing.

More nrcard troubles

Since I last posted my rant against this sorry company, my nook rooted sd card that was supposed to turn my Nook Tablet into an android type has turned it into a useless android doorstop. EVERY time I turn it on now it stays on for a few seconds and then reboots to the Nook tablet portion, so now I have a useless $65 sd card that's not fit for anything useful and these people simply refuse to answer my emails. They say that they have a "no hassle return policy" and will answer within 24 hours..I've been writing them since Feb 14th and they have not had the courtesy to answer any of them. Still not a happy camper!!!

I need to update my Nook SD card.

Did you want me to do this sooner than planned and share what I used?

Remember this will not correct any apps that crash or if folk change the clock rate.
