Sep 29, 2009 5:43PM PDT

let me ask a really Nooby question, i have one cable modem with 2 output connectors, 1 USB & 1 Network. However i can only have computer using internet connection at a time when both cables are plugged in.
I have to disconnect one cable to get the other comp online.

I have no idea what the problem is, any help would be appreciated,
thx in advance.

You need a ROUTER.

- Connect modem with WAN-port of router (network cable).
- Connect both computers wired with LAN-port of router (there are 4, usually) or wireless (at least 4 simultaneous connections are supported).

Done.
