Non Smartphone with Qwerty

Mar 9, 2018 8:28AM PST

I've recently stepped back from smartphones and internet access via my mobile - just wanting a simple device to make calls and texts.
But I'm already tired of using the keys on my Nokia 105 'dumb' phone to make texts. Does anyone know of a similar simple phone but with a qwerty keyboard?
Thanks...

But with the passing of 2G Cellular these are now dead as well.

My rather ancient iPhone 5s cost me about 99 bucks (it's the 16GB model) and it was at first on Ting.com with only voice and text enabled so that was cheap cheap cheap per month. I added the Jackery battery case so it holds a charge for about a week.

Sorry but no, I don't see the old Rasberry's out there as the end of 2G killed those off.

You may be unicorn hunting here. Maybe just a cheap smart phone and don't use the data systems? On Ting it was a simple setting on my account home page.

With a blue tooth enabled phone you can purchase an external blue tooth keyboard. That might solve your dilemma.

I've only see this work with Android and iPhones.

Well, of course the old Windows Phones but I have yet to meet a third owner. We wrote apps for those but what a miscalculation on the market.
