Is that such a system might be possible but is still too hard for folk to configure and maintain. I own a few wireless HDDs and they are slugs. I changed to a HDD on the router for another copy of backups but not main access. But there's the rub again, it's not easy enough and the speed sucks. Sure it's faster than what we had a decade ago but USB 2.0 is faster.
-> My thought is that why carry a HDD? I carry my laptop.

Hi All
I'm looking for some home network advice, i'm looking to find a solution thats minimal and fast.
My current set-up is:
iMac, HP wireless Printer, iPhone, Time Capsule, Router (Sky 2.5mb download). All of my documents, music, movies are in the cloud and i only use the Time Capsule for my Time Machine Backup and applications i also have a Samsung HDD that i use for few other backups and files for work and i also watch everything through my imac.
What i am thinking of doing is replacing the work HDD and the Time capsule with a 500GB WD wireless HDD partitioned to work as both a time capsule and a NTFS HDD so i can take it to and from work and have all my devises read from it.
I am hoping to get rid of my router and in turn my phone line (i don't have a phone) and replace it with a 3g or 4g solution. This way i hope to gain a faster download speed, cheaper bills and just one payment to a mobile company rather than sky or BT.
So the 3G router would wirelessly connect my HDD, Printer, iMac and phone.
does anyone have any advice on how i can accomplish this and what package i should be looking at?
