Question

Non-coloured CD's

Feb 4, 2013 11:08PM PST

Hi,
My car stereo manual says it will not play "coloured disc's", does anyone know if it is possible to get burnable CD R/RW's that are silver underneath, like shop-bought disc's, and what they are called and who they are made by please?
Thanks.

Answer
As you suspect, SILVER CDs are pressed.

Those silver CDs are pressed and not burned. You can try my old trick of burning them at 2X speed. Sometimes helps.

But are you making an AudioCD? Some folk can't tell me that.

Lol, yes they are definitely audio CD's. I made 3, 1 sometimes works ok, but the other 2 wont play at all. I am using media player, dony know what version, could you tell me how to change the writing speed?

Sorry no.

I'm guessing that such a question is already out there if I used google. But I use CDBURNERXP to make my AudioCDs and it's under the same menu as I suspect. Good luck in your WMP search.
