Nokia 6340i vs. Moto 400

I have a Nokia 6340i rite now and i'm thinking on switching phones. Is a v400 a good phone and are there any other good phones out there? I really like how it looks and my neighbor has one.

oh and uh do i have to wait for my contract to run out before I can get a new phone. i have cingular.
