Noise from Samsung LE40A686

On all non-hdmi inputs a high pitched/shrill noise emits from the tv after on for an hour or so (sounds loudest at bottom-rear side - left as facing screen or near inputs).

This is noticed at more than one location so assume not related to power supply, and also occurs regardless of whether inputs are plugged in or not (obviously hdmi needs to be connected but source turned off on machine).

'Samsung' engineers have had the set out and could find no fault, a 'richer sounds employee' from whom i bought the set came round and listened.. agreed noise more than expected, they had set out and can still find no fault.

Anyone have any ideas.. other of course than purchasing eg. sky/virgin contract with a hd box. Or similarly is there any processing going on with non-hdmi inputs that could explain the noise. I can only assume with the noise being so high pitched in a large factory location with several machines/staff etc present the noise is not as noticeable?

It's a real bummer, because although i have heard impressive reviews of the b series models.. the picture from this set is still excellent.

thanks Happy
