Question

Noise cancellation or not?

Oct 2, 2011 8:42AM PDT

I'm considering buying a pair of noise cancellation headphones which I would be running from my ipod, and have narrowed it down to the sennheiser pxc 350's.

However I recently tried out the skullcandy roc nations and was very impressed with them, even though they do not have noise cancellation.

I would be using the headphones mainly in and out of the house, but also for travelling now and again. And yes, I prefer over the ear headphones.

Anyone with thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

I bought some noise cancellation head phones (not ear buds) because of long airplane rides.

In my experience

I used to work at Zumiez and we sold tons of Skull Candy headphones and earbuds. While working there, I took notice that about every 3-4 headphones sold were to people who bought them before. I started asking them why they wanted so many pairs, and they told me it's cause they broke so easily. I would stay away from SC as the quality is sub par as is the sound. As for the choice of noise canceling or not, it really depends on if you want to hear what's going on around you while listening to your music. I personally will go with noise canceling if I can afford it as it let's me become immersed into the music that much more. If you want suggestions of good quality noise canceling headphones just let me know.
