Check the firewall. IT gives the most issues

some steps
Mar 23, 2006 5:24AM PST

Go into the router admin page and do the following:
- set SSID name to something unique (different from your neighbors)
- turn on SSID broadcast
- set broadcast mode to wireless-g (or b/g)
- turn off all encryption (WEP or WPA disabled for now)
- turn off MAC adddress filtering (for now)
- save settings

Make sure your wireless-g adapter is set to "g".

Rt-click on your wireless network adapter and select VIEW AVAILABLE WIRELESS NETWORKS. Try to connect to the network with your SSID name.

If it works, then add the wireless security you desire. From a wired connection, add encryption, MAC filtering, turn off SSID, etc.
