No way to install sound card?

Jul 29, 2004 3:56PM PDT

After doing a Registry mess, I reinstalled Win XP, and now my PC seems to be working well, but, for some strange reason, my sound card uninstalled and now there?s no way to reinstall it; I tried with the Windows automatic way, then used the driver, but it?s still not working. Has anyone expirienced this problem? What do you recommend to fix it?

System features:

OS: Win XP
Processor: Pentium 3
Sound Card: Diamond DT0399

Would any extra info help?

THANK YOU

***NOTE THAT I ALREADY TRIED WITH THE DRIVER***

Is this the Diamond Monster MX200 or MX300?

If so, that was out of production before Windows XP and may find no native support. Furthermore, I did see it work on an "upgrade" install from 98 to XP, but fail later. It never worked again. We replaced the card with one that had XP support drivers.

Thanks Bob, I guess I?m having the same problem... my dad found a way to install it when we installed XP the first time, but now we don?t know how to do it again. I think it?s time to say good bye to my "friend" that has been with me for 6 years. Than you anyway
