There are too many reasons for a dead PC. You have configuration, an extra mounting post in the case, dead battery on the board, a LED front panel light over the RESET and the list continues for a few hundred items.
No beeps to me points back at the PC and not the display.
Hello i just received a brand new ASUS M5A99FX PRO motherboard and it has no onboard video. We put it all together and turned it on, there were no beeps and the fans and system seemed to run smoothly, we turned on the monitor and got the no video signal message. So we did all kind of things like, swap out the video card, take out and reseat the ram, I put in a brand new 850 watt power supply so it wasn't that. We didn't know if it was the drivers, so we downloaded some on a thumb drive and put it in, and it didn't work. It makes it really difficult to download drivers with no onboard video, if its that. I don't think its dead on arrival we experienced this same error with the previous motherboard i bought. We haven't done a beep test yet but i soon will. We didn't try another monitor but we will. I would appreciate any help. Thanks Benjamin
