No TV signal

by Tigger58 / June 23, 2010 11:21 AM PDT

I have a 1 week old Gateway DX4300-15e. AMD Phenom II Quad Processor running Windows 7. This came with a pre installed TV tuner which was working great for a week. Then suddenly stopped-I keep getting: no channels found... I have re scanned each day hoping and praying that it will finally work again. The TV tuner appears to be working fine. WMD recognizes the tuner. I have done a restore to the day before it stopped working and that didn't work either. It is hooked up to a coaxial cable (cable works fine) TMW is our provider. I have run out of things to try. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong??

Some cable cos are moving to all digital and will require their box to decode. Do other TVs work?

Plug a TV into that cable that you put into your PC. If that works then it is possible the TV card failed. What else can you test your TV card with?
