No Start times please Microsoft Wrks Calendar V9

I would like to just start typing notes on the day that is highlighted. I don't want any start times posted. Is there a way to change the defaults instead of the long process of editing my note to an all day event. Can I default to recognize everything as an all day event to begin with? Is there another calendar program out there that would do this quick & basic task?
