FAT32 volumes can't have over 4GB files and Microsoft's error message is unfortunately vague as to why.
I have a home built PC, containing 2 hard disks. The main disk is 60gb, partitioned into 2. Second disk is 8gb, from last pc, installed so I can access data. I am running xp home, 2400 mhz cpu, 512 meg ram.
The main disk has ended up as C & E, the small disk as D & F
Drive C has 15.4 gb free, drive E has 22.2 gb free.
I have a file on C which is 5.7gb, recorded as an mpeg from my tv card.
I want to move this to a folder on drive E, but I keep getting a message saying insufficient space!
All recycle bins are empty, so what is happening ?
