Well, what small part of the large internet it's no longer available? The best place to look for drivers is the site of the makers. That is Toshiba. If you can't find it their, see if there is something like a 'contact customer service' option. They still might have it. Or they let you reorder the original disc.
If it is totally disappeared indeed, and even Toshiba itself doesn't have it anymore, you're more or less out of luck. Your options then are:
- accept that there is no sound
- buy a "USB sound card" (to put into a USB slot in one side and connect to your speakers on the other side)
- upgrade to an OS-version that's still supported for this machine (Vista or 7 might be)
In the Device Manager for the "Multimedia Audio Controller I have tried Roll Back Driver, New Driver, and finally uninstalled the driver. After "Uninstal" XP says "New Hardware Found" but can not find the driver on the system. I do not have the original computer disc but I believe the name of the driver is an "Analog Device 1981B " which internet search says is no longer available and no substitute is available. Please help.
