I would suggest you bring up the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del selecting task manager then click cpu at the top so it puts the items in order of most cpu usage to the least with that visible while you start the video on you tube you should see whats hogging your resources and if it's a strange named item your not familiar with google it to see if it's malware. Which would be my guess. If so Malwarebytes is really good for spyware imo.

Malwarebytes

Malwarebytes for this old novice has always been good for me. I've also got Iobit Malware Fighter. I don't know which is best. Is it unwise to run 2 'malware fighters' or added security???
Also, I would love to know; if (can) I have more than 1 anti-virus at the same time? I am using Avast free edition, but I saw a write up about AVIRA and Avira seems no. 1!

Can I have both (using alternatively) or will the 'clash'?

thankyou

As for Iobit, wouldn't touch with a long pole.

One active av only.

Av....avast
Malware....malwarebytes on demand scanner.

Toss iobits.

Avast needs a little tweak in the file shield/web shield/mail shield and the on demand scanner to scan for pups so adjust that.
