no sound from laptop

hi there i have a sony vaio model pcg572m , it`s quite old .anyway i had to reload windows xp on to it ,and now i can`t get a sound out of it ,i can`t find what make the soundcard is,plus i can`t find any drivers on sonys sites ,in sounds and devices it just says, no audio device. any ideas. thanks

found one now it`s .Vinyl AC`97 Audio(WAVE) if anyone needs to know.

try to install a software that automatically find the driver based ont the system software. there are lot of sofware avaliable, just google it.
