No sound from home theater speakers PC manager

by tbay22 / November 8, 2009 12:55 AM PST

Hi,

I have a samsung ln52b750 tv and a samsung HT-BD1250 home theater system. I have downloaded the PC manager softare to my PC and I am able to access and play the content. However, I am not getting any sound output from the hometheater speakers when doing this. The only way I am able to get sound is if I turn off the external speakers from the menu and use the tv speakers. Is there a way to have the sound come through the home theater speakers? Thanks in advance.

No sound from home theater speakers PC manager

tbay22,

How are you hooking it up? There are two optical and 1 RCA audio inputs on the HT system.

You might not have the proper source selected on the HT. If you're sure you have the proper input setting selected, then you should be getting audio.

What kind of files are you having trouble with?

The file is an mp3 wave file and plays fine through the tv speakers when this option is selected from the menue, but when I go to the menue and select external speakers(home theater speakers) I cannot get the sound to come through.

tbay22,

I'll look more into this. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work through optical or RCA outputs from the TV to the HT system, but just for testing purposes, which wire connection did you use?

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
