No sound comes from the laptop....

Gentleman how are we all doing?.... my mate has a problem with his laptop which i tried to fix but cudnt but what i did do was found the problem which in some cases is half the battle...in other devices theres a multimedia audio controller and the drivers for this are not installed it saysand then in brackets beside it it says code 28.... when i try the reinstall option it doesnt work because wizard cannot find necessary software...what should i tell him to do? is it fixable?

Figure out the manufacturer of the device that is having problems, go to the manufacturer's website, download the audio driver and update the driver.

k thanks.....and by the "manufacturer of the device" do u mean the laptops manufacturing website or is there a seperate manufacturer website for those things?....sorry but im new to this :S

It's alright that your new to this, most people are. To figure out the manufacturer, you can look at your laptop's specs to see the motherboard's manufacturer. Then, just go to the manufacturer's website and find the sound device driver. If you put up the type of laptop you have I could find it for you, since your new to this :).
