No sound at all

hi,i just re install win Xp an al the drivers ,but the sound is gone ,nothing is happaning,please help me!!!!i have a unknown brand computer,os:win XP sp2.2gb rami hdd 200 gb video nvidia.thanks

I would say that you didn't quite install ALL the drivers, and neglected the sound driver, or installed the wrong one.

The utility CD

that came with the motherboard will have onboard drivers on it. If you don't have the CD go to the manufacturers website and get them there.
