Have Samsung check the firmware revision and ask how to do a factory reset on the player.
I'm curious to see if anyone else has run across this
I've got an LG LED TV, 47LM7600. I also have a Samsung Blu-Ray DVD player (older model) hooked up to it via HDMI. When I turn the DVD player on, I can see the Samsung menu on my TV (so far, so good). When I pop a DVD in, the trailers start playing...but when they stop, I get a "No Signal" on my TV. But then when I press "Play" or "Enter" on my DVD remote, I get signal again (and the main DVD movie begins to play).
It seems what's happening is that the DVD title menu, for whatever reason, can't display on my TV. For example, when I hit "stop", the movie stops, and normally I'd see the DVD title menu. But instead on my TV, I get a "No Signal" until I hit "Play" or "Enter" (in which case, the movie plays again).
Not a big issue...unless you want to navigate a DVD menu to see features or unless the main feature isn't the "default" selection in the DVD menu.
Interesting thing I've also discovered - this happens on some DVDs and not others (I'm using commercial DVDs here, not homemade). I tried a couple of Disney standard AND Blu-Ray, no menu problems. I tried a couple of standard Shout Factory DVDs, and the menu won't display. Any thoughts as to what I might try? Thanks, and apologies I've missed anything (I did search the forum first).
