And more story. There are PCs that won't boot or show any display when the CMOS battery gets too low. It's the cheapest part it can be but I run into folk that insist we know what the cause is. Sadly this part is so cheap that's it's early on the list of possible bad parts. We don't measure but just replace. Some yell heresy and insist we measure the old battery so we do and tack on more to the repair bill for the service.
After that it's the classic DEAD PC (google that) where we remove what we can to see if it comes back up.
Hello I’m looking to see if anyone can suggest a possible troubleshoot or fix for my current issue. One day my Acer desktop (windows7) stoped putting a signal out to my monitor or my TV through my HDMI cable. I pulled it apart and used my sata reader on the hard drive it didn’t read it. I cleaned it then tried the sata again and it worked. I put it back together tried the TV and monitor again to no avail. Seems to power up fine and the HD sounds good. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated on how I can stop the NO Signal to my tv and monitor. Thx.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
