Is the PSU's +12V rail rated at over 30A? You probably want 40A to stay out of trouble.
Did you remove the GPU to go back?
Hi, A friend of mine bought a second hand gaming pc which had the GPU removed by the previous owner. He's been using it for simple tasks for a number of weeks without issues but he's wanting to use it for gaming and the integrated graphics aren't up to it so I gave him one of my old graphics cards (Radeon HD777)
Since fitting the graphics card I haven't been able to get a signal from the monitor, I've tried the DVI-D , DVI-I and HDMI ports non of which gets a signal. I then removed the card assuming it was at fault but now I can't get a signal using the original integrated graphics and VGA cable!
The other issue is the PC shuts itself down 5-15 seconds after the initial start-up then turns itself back on and repeats this procedure although the interval vary. Sometimes it will stay running for a large period of time although still no signal. I thought possible PCU failure but my limited knowledge has brought me here ![]()
Specs:
Radeon hd 777
intel i5
Foxconn H61MXE-K
pentium p4 model e-700 br
Thanks,
Jack.
