Since we know that RED is on pin 1 ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector ) I'd take a good look at that pin.
But these adapters are too often defective. I'm calling it an cable or adapter issue.
Hey,
So I just bought a new videocard, geforce gtx 1050 ti windforce oc 4gb
And I tried to connect a second screen, this didn't work.
So then I contacted Nvidia chat support (super nice and helpfull btw!), and they recommended my to buy a VGA -> Displayport cable.
So I just received the BRAND NEW cable connected it to screen and it works!, but what now? My red color is missing I only have yellow and blue and red seems black.
But then when I scroll through the menu of my monitor itself It shows the color red as seen in the picture below.
How can I fix this? I tried calibrating it through the videocard aswell as through windows 10.
I am aware that my monitor is from the stoneage but It always worked perfectly fine and I would prefer fixing this instead of buying a new one at least for now.
Also I checked the cable for any bended pins it all looks brand new!
Monitor philips - 200vw8fb/00
So why can I see the color red in the menu of the monitor,
Thank you people so much for helping me out ![]()
