ZNSoftware is not part of CNET or ZDNet as far as I am aware, so are you promoting this site, or is there some problem you wish to discuss?

This was touted as a download but all I got was a zip file with an address for the website and when I got there, no Icon Creator to be found. I got a notification from CNet thanking me for downloading the Icon Creator, which is innaccurate as I didn't download it. Compliments of the Season to all.
ZNSoft Icon Maker
http://www.znsoft.fr/Download/Windows/ZNsoftIM/
When I downloaded it, (using the Download button at the bottom of that page), it arrived as a Zip file. Extracting the files showed me 3 files, "Lisez-moi.txt", "Read-me.txt" and a 'setup.exe' application. I would assume that is the application that installs the software. I didn't try because I don't need that software. I received no emails from CNET, but that doesn't surprise me as I gave no details for the ZNSoft web site to be able to email me.
Tell us again what you got when you downloaded from that page?
There is a link to a Download.com, and that takes us to;
http://download.cnet.com/ZNsoft-Icon-Maker/3000-2195_4-10529170.html?tag=lst-0-1
When I downloaded from Download.com, I got the same Zip file with the same three files.
I see no problems here.

it had some links to trials and such of Microsoft software, in French language. Nothing interesting for the rest of us.
