That one can't diagnose this exactly without seeing the set. And possibly opening it up. All the techs that do this want to be paid for this and can you tell more about how Samsung is not helping? Sometime that's "code" for "I want this to be free." But I can't tell.
We have been having trouble with our ln32b540 for about 3 weeks. Turn on the HDTV and NO PICTURE (connected to cable) sound is just fine. We have been turning it off, waiting and then back on and the picture would appear. Then it progressed to: if we turned TV off for an hour and tried to turn back on it would not come on till the next evening.
Now NO PICTURE at all. Nothing will reset it. Not unplugging it...nothing. Sound like bad capacitors to me.
If Samsung knows it has crappy capacitors it should fix the problem.
