No PC for 3 weeks and no Comp frm BITDEFENDER

Apr 27, 2014 7:27AM PDT

No Thanks to BITDEFENDER. I've had to pay $129 for Dell services and they had nothing to do with Bitdefender Rescue Taking over my boot drive. Dell sent a TECHNICIAN to install the Motherboard; I deleted BITDEFENDER and after 20 days of no PC; I am now back in business after being depressed; anxious; angry and very disappointed in the service of this company... The $79 I spent on the program is not worth it! I think I've said enough... They didn't even want to share the cost of the Dell Technician who actually came to my house to fix their problem... Sad! Very Sad! On to the next Blog on CNET and Twitter to warn the public...

Disc would not let me install.. It repeated ERROR MSG! The only way I'm back on the air is because Dell switched the motherboard.. They even sent a tech.. No tech at BITDEFENDER! They give less than a rats azz if your up n running.. They play with emails and people who from other countries whom you can't even understand.. This problem was worth a tech showing up for BITDEFENDER

Bios UEFI edit
Apr 29, 2014 12:42AM PDT

The Dell mtrbd. swap worked because it replaced the old bios setting as the new one was at defaults. It appears the EUFI edits if made by Bitdefender and couldn't be changed at this "low level" of PC status then you got stuck in your loop. Typical old clearing the CMOS(bios) wouldn't work because its EUFI and written into the bios area. Another reason all these new fangled do-dads get us into trouble. For now, I got a clearer picture of what happened but allow this explanation to rattle Bitdefender cage.

If Bitdefender did an EUFI edit to the bios and it couldn't be undone then they are faulted. Otherwise, Dell has a serious fault if no *RE-EDITING* can be done after the fact. Pick one of both to blame but you can see what blame *may* lay could hard to pin-point.
