I know you ys has addres this question before and i did search the archive but found not the answer i seek. Do i need a new hd or computer??
System info: HP Pavilion Ze4600, AMD Athlon, 1862Mhz, XP and 1gb.
First BIOS shows HD as NONE. I went to bios set the system to default,hd at auto detect and cd-rom as first boot in sequence. System boots up,says there is no operating system. I restart with XP CD. It boots up, went through xp inspection, load all the files, gave me the option to repair, install or quit, i chose install and at this point I choose enter for xp setup and now it tells me that "setup did not find hard disk installed in the computer"
Now where do i go from here?
The HD shows no damage, burn etc.I cannot say what size hd it is as it is not written on the drive in a format that i cn interpet, so guys! please point me in the right direction.... Thanks

If the BIOS can't find the hard disk, then Windows won't either.

Try another drive.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
