No New CRT's

I have been working as a tech for many years and 2 years ago I was looking for parts from Goldstar. It was a difficult search but I made an interesting observation.

Goldstar, LG, and Samsung were not making any products in Korea that use a CRT "picture tube" anymore. I'm not sure but, I am tending to beleive that all the sets using CRTs currently being sold are NOS "new old stock"

I know the company I work for is dumping the tube sets as fast as possible!!! The federal rules for the transition to HDTV started to kick in this year - I think in March.

Have fun... Bruce
