operating system being used would be helpful, but assuming it's XP the first place to look is in Device Manager for any disabled network devices. Then I might peek in Network properties to see the status of the ethernet connected card and try a Repair option if it comes up as disabled.
my friend was fidling around with her laptop and somehow the network connection for her ethernet card, non wireless one, is gone now. she can still connect on wireless to her network at home, but cant connect to my hub like she used to because the only network connection is a wireless one.
How can we get the network connection back so she can get on the internet at my house?
do you think it is hardware related? or software?
thanks a lot
will check back soon.
